October 10, 2011, there was a ceremony for celebrating the start of the DYNAMO field campaign. Almost all DYNAMO participants, people from local institutes such as Maldivian Meteorological Society, and the major of Addu Attol (Gan Island is a part of Addu Attol) attended the ceremony.
Dr. Jim Moore from National Center for Atmospheric Research/Earth Observing Laboratory was a chair of the ceremony.
Dr. Eric DeWeaver from National Science Foundation.
Dr. Chidong Zhang from University of Miami.
Dr. Charles Long from Pacific Northwest National Laboratory.
On behalf of all DYNAMO people, they appreciated Maldivian people for being so much supportive to the DYNAMO project.
